For Sandra Carr, hairdressing is a passion. Determined to make a difference in the lives of all those she comes in contact with, she has traveled the globe as a hair designer, master colorist, photo stylist, and national educator. Her dynamic talent and exuberant personality drove her twenty-six year journey in the hairdressing and fashion industry to great heights. Her many accolades include three nominations for the North American Hairdressing Awards, often referred to as the Academy Awards of the hairdressing. She took home top honors in the areas of Make-over and Color Make-over and was awarded the winning title of North American Make-over Artist of the Year.

At Haircolor USA, the largest International haircolor event, Sandra again took top honors as Colorist of the Year. This career highlight was enhanced by winning yet another award, Most Motivational Educator, an award which focused on her innate ability to combine enthusiasm and artistic talent into a presentation which inspired and motivated others to seek new professional heights.

As an International Educator for Matrix for the past 21 years, Sandra has won the title of Matrix Guest Artist of the Year, Colorist of the Year, and Classic Artist of the Year. She represented Matrix as their National Color Spokesperson, and was a featured columnist in Color Talk section of the company's Matrix Magazine.

Her passion for the industry has allowed her to lead the way in the creation of new fashion trends. These creations have graced the covers of leading industry publications … Modern Salon, Salon News, Haircolor and Design, and Process Magazine. Her expertise has been captured in interviews with fashion editors, and her designs have visually served Matrix in their videos and ad campaigns. Additionally, Sandra has showcased her talents as a guest artist on television programs in the United States and Canada.

Pushing herself to "design outside of the box," Sandra's photographic work reveals her ability to create a wide array of styles from editorial, to make-over, and to lifestyle. Pushing the creative envelope yet again, she won the Behind the Chair.com / Premier Beauty Systems photo competition with one of her avante guard designs.

This past year, Sheer Professionals, Inc., the salon owned by Sandra and her business partner Donna Beam, was recognized with a nomination for the Global Salon Business Awards. Held in London, England, the salon was awarded with a semi-finalist title. Their business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit were again highlighted in Salon Today magazine where they were honored as one of the 20 Most Intriguing Salon Owners in the country and as one of the Top 200 Fastest Growing Salons in the industry.
